The Federal Transit Administration awarded the University of Iowa a $16.4 million grant for improvements to the CAMBUS system, including the purchase of six new battery-electric buses.

As part of Automotive Service Professionals Month, the Parking and Transportation department is highlighting the important work of the nine full-time and 11 part-time student staff that maintain and repair the university’s fleet of buses and vehicles.

UI Fleet Services will be releasing a new version of the Fleet Services Requisition with enhanced abilities and efficiencies. The update will reduce processing time for requests, provide an easy-to-use interface, and integrate with Universal Workflow.

Beginning Nov. 1, all vehicle incidents involving University of Iowa vehicles may be reported online in Employee Self Service or MyUI. UI Risk Management implemented the online Vehicle Accident Reporting to improve both the convenience and efficiency of auto claims.

Each day, UI Laundry Services processes about 24,000 pounds of linens. Most of the processed linens are for UI Hospitals & Clinics. To share the efficiency and teamwork that make this possible, a day of work at Laundry Services was recorded Summer 2021.
